Born in Tozeur, Tunisia, in 1978, Najib Chakchem exhibited an innate passion for painting from an early age. By the age of 18, this passion transformed into a vocation, leading him on the path to a promising artistic career.

 

Over the years, Chakchem has enriched his style by blending traditional realism with contemporary elements, demonstrating a remarkable artistic evolution. His landscapes, whether they be misty mountains, tranquil forests, timeless deserts, or stirring seas, show his deep attachment to nature and the complexity of human emotions.

During his prolific career in Tunisia, Chakchem held numerous memorable exhibitions in the country's prestigious galleries, solidifying his reputation as a leading artist in the region.

In 2011, marking a decisive turning point in his career, Chakchem moved to Montreal, Canada. This transition not only expanded his audience but also influenced his art, introducing a new dynamic into his creations. The cosmopolitan city of Montreal, with its cultural richness and diversity, provided Chakchem with an unprecedented platform for expression.
